To keep in line with new Martime New Zealand and Yachting New Zealand requirements, Hamilton Yacht Club have applied for, and been granted exemption from, MNZ Maritime Operator Safety System (MOSS) as of April 2019.  Any persons wishing to skipper Hamilton Yacht Club’s (or borrowed) patrolboats (coach boats/safety boats/rescue boats/power boats) need to read the HYC Rescue Boat Safety System, boat Specific Procedures and other associated documents. These are available to download and are available to read in print from the folder kept in the club’s kitchen. To comply with the MOSS exemption, skippers are required to sign the front page of the folder as an indication that they have read, understood and are willing to follow the documents.
