Burnsco HYC Regatta results
HYC hosted an excellent regatta over the weekend, the westerlies arrived, the rain petered out, the food was plentiful, and the visitors (Cambridge, Panmure, Raglan, Tauranga) helped create competitive fleets - 15 ILCA 6, 12 Starling, 4 P Class, 3 Zephyr, 3 Three sevens, and a couple of Opti's. The grand master Werner held sway in the ILCA 6 but the juniors are getting closer. Rose came out on top of the Starlings.
As is common on the lake, finding the ladders and avoiding the snakes was key. It was very easy to get fooled by the velocity header, and tacking into a your own personal pot au noir.
