HYC Burnsco Regatta Results
Apologies for not getting the results up last night. I am struggling with technology. The HYC Burnsco Regatta concluded on Sunday with the sailing of the 6th and 7th races. Our RO did a fine job betting the 7 races in despite an unreliable easterly breeze. Fantastic to see a big fleet of Starlings out as well as a 3 boat P Class fleet. We failed to mention this at the regatta prizegiving, the winners of those two fleets will also get their names engraved on some silverware. Both fleet winners were HYC sailors so each will be awarded two cups, one for winning and the other for being the best placed HYC sailor (Caird and F E Lee trophies for the Starling, and Purchase trophy and Wald cup for the P Class). We hadn't mananged a P Class fleet or a Starling fleet for the last 2 years (one year was a COVID cancellation, and one year we couldn't muster a fleet). The future of our club is always going to be in the junior fleets s hopefully this a sign of good things to come.
